“Hotel for Dogs” will be shown at the library on Thursday, June 11 at 1 p.m. Based on Lois Duncan’s novel, the story revolves around two orphaned teenagers who decide to turn an abandoned building into a safe haven for stray dogs. The film is 100 minutes and rated PG, the library will provide the popcorn, just bring your own drink!

There are two specific databases that are available for library card holders to help with career choices. LearningExpress Library is a comprehensive, interactive online learning platform of practice tests and tutorial course series designed to help patrons–students and adult learners–succeed on the academic or licensing tests they must pass. You’ll get immediate scoring, complete answer explanations, and an individualized analysis of your results. When you access the Career Coin Library you can take assessments, search for colleges, research careers and even build resumes. All of the online databases are available for Wyoming residents with library cards, these resources are paid for with funding provided by the Wyoming State Legislature.

A new fiction book is “Four in Hand” by Stephanie Laurens. Max Rotherbridge could not believe it. Along with the Dukedom of Twyford, he – London’s most notorious rogue – had inherited the wardship of four devilishly attractive sisters, and the eldest one, Caroline, was everything he had ever wanted in a woman, but he couldn’t seduce his own ward…or could he?

Other new fiction books include “The Air between Us” by Deborah Johnson, “American Dreams” by Janet Dailey, “The List” by Sherri Lewis, “The Inn at Eagle Point” by Sherryl Woods, “Bone Man’s Daughters” by Ted Dekker and “Wrongful Death” by Robert Dugoni.

New adult non-fiction books are “The Horse Boy: a Father’s Quest to Heal His Son” by Rupert Isaacson, “The Great Depression Ahead: How to Prosper in the Crash Following the Greatest Boom in History” by Harry S. Dent, Jr. and “The Book Whisperer: Awakening the Inner Reader in Every Child” by Donalyn Miller.

A new young adult book is “Some of Tim’s Stories” by S. E. Hinton.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has this new junior book “The Mystery of the Missing Mutts” by Barbara Mitchelhill. New easy titles are “Vulture View” by April Pulley Sayre and “Friday My Radio Flyer Flew” by Zachary Pullen.

“My Mad/Glad Moods” is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, June 9 and Thursday, June 11. Storyhour is held on Tuesday and Thursday throughout the year from from 10 to 11 a.m. for children ages 3 through kindergarten.
