Have you gotten your tickets to the Chamber of Commerce Casino Night ? The event will be held on Saturday, October 3 at 7 p.m. This is their first Annual Charity Night and proceeds will benefit the NCL Foundation’s State of Wyoming Endowment Challenge and the Chamber of Commerce. Just about $15,000 has been raised towards the $33,333 challenge. Tickets for this Chamber event are at the library, the Chamber of Commerce office, Rawhide Drug, True Value and local motels.

A new thriller is “The Siege” by Stephen White. A number of students – including the sons of both the Secretary of the Army and a Supreme Court Justice have suddenly gone missing from the Yale campus. No demands are made. Suspended Boulder police detective Sam Purdy finds himself snared by an unlikely pair of Feds – FBI agent Christopher Poe and CIA analyst Deirdre Drake to try and solve this mystery. Their attention soon focuses on the fortress-like tomb of one of Yale’s secret societies.

A new book for the young adults is “Infamous” by Cecily Von Ziegesar.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new junior titles: “The Magic Thief” and “The Magic Thief: Lost” by Sarah Prineas. New easy titles are “How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight?” by Jane Yolen, “The Gingerbread Man” by Karen Schmidt and “Horse in the House” by Erica Silverman.

“Fire Safety” is the theme for Storyhour on Tuesday, October 6 and Thursday, October 8. Storyhour is held on Tuesday and Thursday throughout the year from from 10 to 11 a.m. for children ages 3 through kindergarten.
