The library will be closed on Thursday, November 25 and Friday, November 26, 2010 for Thanksgiving. Normal hours resume at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 29.

For instance, to access health related materials go to: https://www.niobraracountylibrary.org, click on WyldCat, then click at Additional Resources, you can now choose topics or databases. To see Health and Medicine information, click on that topic and you’ll be directed to a listing of 13 health-related databases that available for you to search, either by a quick search in the text box, or a more advanced search by clicking on the database name. A new book for the holidays is “The Snowflake” by Jamie Carie. Ellen Pierce and her brother are determined to reach the Alaskan gold rush. When ice stalls their steamship all seems lost until Buck Lewis decides to lead all who dare follow on foot to Dawson City. New non-fiction books are “Forts, Fights, and Frontier Sites: Wyoming Historic Locations” by Cindy Moulton, “Node, the First 100 Years” by Jimmy and Carmen Shane, “Pinheads and Patriots: Where You Stand in the Age of Obama” by Bill O’Reilly and “High Flavor, Low Labor: Reinventing Weekend Cooking” by J. M. Hirsch.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has several new non-fiction books on “How Government Works” along with this new junior bok “A Girl’s Best Friend” by Catherine Stine.
