Library News

The library will be closed on Sunday, December 23, Monday, December 24, and Tuesday, December 25, 2012 for the Christmas Holiday. We will resume normal hours, noon until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 26th.

Free digital books are available 24/7 through the Virtual Library, the 3M Cloud library and Freading, check it out on our homepage. Also, OneClick Digital, downloadable audio books, is available 24/7; apps are available for all of these libraries for many tablets and other electronic devices. Your library card and PIN will give you access.

A new suspense novel is “Full Disclosure” by Dee Henderson. Officer Ann Silver waited while FBI Agent Paul Falcon passed through security. She opened her flight bag and removed two photographs. She didn’t bother to explain. She simply offered them to him. She saw the flare of heat in his eyes as he recognized the murders. Here was a lead on a hired killer he’d been hunting for years.

New YA titles include: “Chasing the Skip” by Janci Patterson, “The Hunters” by John Flanagan and “Wake” by Amanda Hocking.

“The Horse in My Garage and Other Stories” by Patrick F. McManus is among new nonfiction available. Other titles include: “Back From the War: Finding Hope and Understanding in Life after Combat” by First Lt. Lee Alley and “Old Farmer’s Almanac 2013.”

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new junior titles “Fourmile” by Watt Key, “The Cloak Society” by Jeramey Kraatz and “Following Grandfather” by Rosemary Wells. Some new easy books are “Splat Says Thank You” by Rob Scotton, “Mater Saves Christmas” by Kiel Murray and “It’s Duffy Time” by Audrey Wood.
