Don’t forget that the film, “Being There” will be shown at the library on Monday, January 28 at 6 p.m. A light meal will be enjoyed and discussion will be lead by Deane Tucker, PhD, Chadron State College. The Wyoming Women’s Center will also join the discussion.

Welcome to the “Hotel Transylvania”, Dracula’s lavish five-stake resort, where monsters and their families can live it up, free from meddling from the human world. Over-protective of his teenage daughter, Mavis, Dracula fabricates tales of elaborate dangers to dissuade her adventurous spirit. As a haven for Mavis, he opens the Hotel Transylvania, where his daughter and some of the world’s most famous monsters can kick back in safety and peace. For Drac, catering to all of these legendary monsters is no problem but his world could come crashing down when one ordinary guy stumbles on to the hotel and takes a shine to Mavis. Rated PG, 91 minutes and will be shown on Wednesday, January 30 at 1:45 p.m. The library will provide popcorn, bring your own drink!

There is no president – no congress- no supreme court- no freedom- only the Authorities. Citizens have two primary goals in this new republic: to create clean energy and to create new human life. When 18 year-old, Emmeline begins to understand the true objectives of Agenda 21, she embarks on an audacious plan to save her family and expose The Republic – but, is she already too late?

New non-fiction books are “Chasing Doctor Dolittle: Learning the Language of Animals” by Con Slobodchikoff, “Help, Thanks, Wow: the Three Essential Prayers” by Anne Lamott and “The Green Smoothie Miracle: Your Way to Increased Energy, Weight Loss, and Happiness” by Erica Palmcrantz Aziz.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new junior titles “Will Sparrow’s Road” by Karen Cushman and “The Paper bag Christmas” by Kevin Alan Milne. Some new easy books are “A Moment in Time” by Jennifer Butenas, “Little Cub” by Olivier Dunrea and “Mud Boots” by Mary Stern.
