It’s time to register for the fall book discussion series, “Icons” which begins with the first discussion on Tuesday, September 3 at 6 p.m. Wayne Deahl returns to lead the discussion and books are now available to pick up. Participants will read and discuss “Cash” by Johnny Cash, “Muhammad Ali: His Life and Times” by Thomas Hauser, “Eleanor Roosevelt: Volume 1, 1884-1933” by Blanche Wiesen Cook, and “A Moveable Feast” by Ernest Hemingway. “Dragon Hunters” will be shown on Thursday, August 1 at the library at 1:30 p.m. The library provides popcorn; please bring your own drink. Zoe is a little girl who believes in fairy tales. In order to help her uncle Lord Arnold get rid of a terrible dragon, Zoe decides she has to find some heroes. When she meets Gwizdo and Lian-Chu – a couple of two-bit, fly-by-night dragon hunters – she decides that she’s going to believe in them and she sets out on an adventure to bring peace to the land.
