It’s time to order fresh peaches from Palisade, Colorado! The peaches will be available in mid-August. The 18-20# box is $40 and proceeds will be matched through the State of Wyoming Endowment Challenge Program and a partnership with Sweetwater County Library System. This fundraiser is sponsored by the Niobrara County Library Foundation.

“Mr. Stinky Feet” will be at the library on Wednesday, July 27 at 2 p.m. This high-energy interactive show will be fun for everyone and is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

Thursday, July 28, “Pan” will be shown at the library at 1:15 p.m. 12-year-old orphan, Peter is spirited away to the magical world of Neverland where he finds both fun and danger and ultimately discovers his destiny – to become the hero who will be forever known as Peter Pan. This film is rated PG and lasts 111 minutes. The library provides the popcorn, please bring your own drink.

A special movie presentation will be on Friday, July 29 at 3 p.m. featuring the favorite, “Finding Nemo.” Shown in celebration of the Tiger Plunge’s Single Digit Day, be sure to come and enjoy the movie and then head to the pool for activities and swimming!

Craig Johnson’s newest novella is “The Highwayman.” When Wyoming Highway Patrolman Rosey Wayman is transferred from Walt Longmire’s jurisdiction to Fremont County, she soon starts receiving mysterious “officer needs assistance” calls. They seem to be coming from Bobby Womack, a legendary Arapahoe patrolman who met a fiery death in Wind River Canyon almost a half a century ago. Walt and Henry Standing Bear soon arrive on the scene determined to find the person playing pranks on Rosey. After a few days in the Canyon they discover that the mystery goes much deeper than they imagined.

Other new fiction books include “The Island House” by Nancy Thayer, “The Fireman” by Joe Hill, “All Summer Long” by Dorothea Benton Frank, “Admiral” by Sean Danker, “Tall Tail” by Rita Mae Brown, “The Poacher’s Daughter” by Michael Zimmer, “The Darkest Torment” by Gena Showalter, “The Emperor’s Revenge” by Clive Cussler and “Into the Whirlwind” by Kat Martin. Sarah Weeks has a new title in the YA Section, “Save me a Seat” and it joins Victoria Aveyard’s “Glass Sword” along with several other new titles. Stop by and check out the YA section soon!

“Your Idea Starts Here: 77 Mind-Expanding Ways to Unleash Your Creativity” by Carolyn Eckert is now among new non-fiction along with the “Images of America’s: Douglas” by Linda Graves Fabian and “The Physics of Life: the Evolution of Everything” by Adrian Bejan.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new junior books, “The BFG” by Roald Dahl, “Nora, the Arctic Fox Fairy” by Daisy Meadows, “The Charmed Children of Rookskill Castle” by Janet Fox and “Beneath” by Roland Smith. Some of the newer easy titles are “At the Farm, at the Market” by G. Brian Karas, “Curious George Boxcar Derby” by C. A. Krones, “Elmo’s Colors” by Naomi Kleinberg and “Top Secret” by Mary Man-Kong.
