Brent McQuery’s photography is on display at the library through the month of September. A reception with the artist will be held on Wednesday, September 19 at 5 p.m. Please be sure to stop in!

Call the library at 334-3490 to order your Krispy Kreme doughnuts! They will be available for pick up on Thursday, September 27 at the library. A glazed dozen in $8 and mixed frosted are $9. Proceeds from this fundraiser are matched through the Wyoming Public Library Endowment Challenge and the library foundation’s partnership with the Sweetwater County Public Library Foundation. Catherine Coulter’s latest novel is “Paradox.” When an escaped mental patient fails in his attempt to kidnap five-year-old Sean Savich his parents, Agents Sherlock and Savich, know they are in his crosshairs and must find him before he continues with his “kill” list. Working with Chief Ty Christie, who witnessed a murder from the deck of her cottage on Lake Massey, they soon discover a frightening connection between the recent murder, bones at the bottom of the lake and the escaped psychopath. This book is available on CD as well as digitally through Overdrive/Libby.

Two new additions by popular YA authors are “A Court of Frost and Starlight” by Sarah J. Maas and “War Storm” by Victoria Aveyard.

New non-fiction titles are “Blood & Ivy: the 1849 Murder that Scandalized Harvard” by Paul Collins, “The Bonanza King: John Mackay and the Battle over the Greatest Riches in the American West” by Gregory Crouch and “The Wyoming Blizzard of 1949: Surviving the Storm” by James C. Fuller.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new junior titles, “The Rose Legacy” by Jessica Day George, “Welcome to Deadwood Hill” by Lea Taddonio and “The Candymakers and the Great Chocolate Chase” by Wendy Mass. Newer easy titles include “On the Prowl” by R.R. Busse, “The Great Pancake Race” by Jeanette Lane and “Blowing in the Wind” by Samantha Brooke.
