On Tuesday, October 16 the library will host Phillip Lancaster and Alison Moore and the program, “Riders on the Orphan Train” at 6 p.m. Few people know much about the largest child migration in history and this multi-media presentation will be very informative. This event is funded by the Wyoming Humanities Council.

Call the library at 334-3490 to register for the fall “Paint @ the Library” program. Barb Orr has a piece planned that is perfect for painters of all experience levels. The event will be held on Wednesday, October 24 at 5:30 p.m. Space is limited, reserve your place today!

“Food for Fines” is available throughout the month of October! Clear your library fines and overdue fees by bringing in non-perishable, unexpired food for the Food Pantry at the Niobrara Senior Center; each food item clears $1.50 of library fine. Call or stop by the library for more information.

“Good Luck with That” is a new novel by Kristan Higgins. Emerson, Georgia, and Marley have been best friends ever since they met at camp in their teens. Pine. “Hero at the Fall” by Alwyn Hamilton and “Queens of Fennbirn” by Kendare Blake are among new young adult books.

New non-fiction titles are “What Color is your Parachute? 2019: a Practical Manuel for Job-Hunters and Career-Changers” by Richard N. Bolles, “Balancing it All: My Story of Juggling Priorities and Purpose” by Candace Cameron-Bure and “A Celebration of HERstory Quilts: Strong Women” by Susanne Miller Jones.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new junior titles, “”Rodeo Challenge” by Jake Maddox, “The Curse of Deadwood Hill” by Lea Taddonio and “Safari Pug: The Dog Who Walked on the Wild Side” by Laura James. Some of the latest easy readers include “Caillou Loves His Mommy” by Christine L’Heureux, “Peppa Pig: the School Play” created by Neville Astley and “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Dinosaur Tracker” by Rachel Chlebowski.
