The puppet show, “Space-A-Cade” will be presented by Meghan Casey and Rocky Mountain Puppets at the library on Friday, July 19 at 1 p.m. Meghan is a popular performer, be sure to mark your calendar.

A unique opportunity is available on Tuesday, July 23 from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. The inflatable Geodome from The Journey Museum & Learning Center will be in Lusk as part of the summer program, “AUniverse of Stories.” The Geodome will be housed at the Beef Barn at the Niobrara County Fairgrounds and 20 minute shows will be held throughout the visit. Refreshments will also be available! Don’t miss this!

Pegie Douglas presents the “Life and Music of Badger Clark” at the library on Wednesday, July 24 at 6:30 p.m.

Sarah Blake’s latest novel is entitled “The Guest Book.” No. It’s a simple word, lettered on a summer porch in 1936. It’s a word that will haunt Kitty Milton for the rest of her life and its consequences will ripple through the Milton family for generations. Now Evie, third generation, is digging into her family history when she finds a story as unsettling as it is inescapable – a story that threatens the foundation of the Milton family myth. “The Guest Book” audio is also available through Overdrive/Libby.

“American Moonshot: John F. Kennedy and the Great Space Race” by Douglas Brinkley is among new non-fiction along with “Bushcraft Illustrated: a Visual Guide” by Dave Canterbury and “Gardentopia: Design Basics for Creating Beautiful Outdoor Spaces” by Jan Johnsen.

The Lennea Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new junior books “The Next Great Paulie Fink” by Ali Benjamin, “Hazy Bloom and the Mystery Next Door” by Jennifer Hamburg, and “The Kidnapped Kitten” by Holly Web. A few of the newer easy titles are “Daniel Meets the New Neighbors” by Becky Friedman, “Look For the Helpers” by Alexandra Cassel, “The Perfect Pear” by Louise Alexander and “Pete the Cat’s World Tour” by James Dean.
