Kyra and Logan Wasson will share their European adventures, part II on Wednesday, January 22 at 6 p.m. Their adventure included traveling to nine countries: Germany, Belgium, Austria, Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Denmark, Netherlands, and Luxembourg. With their trusty backpacks, they spent one month exploring the historic castles of Germany, the colorful canals of the Netherlands and the grand palaces of Austria. They strolled through cobblestone streets, tasted yummy foods, and uncovered exciting stories in every country. It was like stepping into a real-life treasure map filled with surprises. Plan to attend this fun program!
The Dinner & Movie Series, “Hotels Around the World”features four films set in hotels throughout the world. Lots of laughter is on tap so plan to attend the films at 6 p.m. A light meal will also be available. Kicking off the series is Neil Simon’s Plaza Suite on Monday, January 27. A confection of three witty episodes starring one of America’s finest comic actors, Walter Matthau. The scene is Suite 719 of New York City’s Plaza Hotel. A delightful comedy written in Neil Simon’s sensitive and sophisticated style.
“Where Heaven Meets Cheyenne” is an autobiographical fiction novel by Charles MacDuff Westerman formerly of Chugwater, Wyoming. Luke Bainbridge loves his work as a cattle rancher near Chugwater, Wyoming. However, his world is shaken when his wife finds a lump in her left breast. Forty-five miles away in Cheyenne, Wyoming, Diana faces similar questions when her husband, Chuck Westerman, a Dartmouth graduate and ordained minister is diagnosed with a brain tumor. The novel touches upon timeless themes, perception versus reality, and finding grace in the midst of hardship. The humanity and originality of the characters will have you laughing with them on one page and welling up in the next.

A new young adult book is “Games Untold” by Jennifer Lynn Barnes.
Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch’s “Over Ruled: the Human Toll of Too Much Law” is among new non-fiction titles along with “Credit Repair: Make a Plan, Improve Your Credit, Avoid Scams” by Amy Loftsgordon.
The Lenna Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new chapter books “The Perfect Secret” by Rob Buyea, “Beach Paws” by Cam Higgins plus “The Science Inspectors” series by Daniel Kenney. Some of the newer picture books are “Alice in a Winter Wonderland” by Jan Brett, “Getting Us to Grandma’s” by Nadia L. Hohn, “Ursula Upside Down” by Corey R. Tabor, “Hugs For Pug” by Ethan Long, and “Flat Cat” by Tana Lazer.
