The Friends of the Library will be hosting a Homemade Cookie, Candy, Soup and Bread Sale on Wednesday, December 10 beginning at 3 p.m. at the library. Proceeds help fund the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, Dial-A-Story, live performers, Summer Reading prizes and more! Be sure to stop by!

Professional ventriloquist Meghan Casey will return to the library for a Christmas show on Friday, December 12 at 1 p.m. Meghan and her sidekick Aiden are always entertaining for all ages, plan to stop by and enjoy a little laughter. Children will all receive a Friends of the Library Reading is Fun book to take home as well!

Nelson DeMille’s final novel is “The Tin Men.”  At a top-secret army training facility in the Mojave Desert special agents Scott Brodie and Maggie Taylor plunge into a deadly web of military intrigue – AI technology and robot soldiers – as they unravel the shocking murder of a senior scientist. It is their toughest assignment yet. “The Tin Men” follows “Blood Lines” and “The Deserter” by DeMille and is available digitally.

Other new fiction books are “The Proving Ground” by Michael Connelly, “The Academy” by Elin Hilderbrand, “Secret of Secrets” by Dan Brown, “The Black Wolf” by Louise Penny, “Dark Horse” by Felix Francis, “Fox and Furious” by Rita Mae Brown, “Trails Into Danger” by Arthur Henry Gooden and “A Matter of Pedigree” by Leslie Meier. “That’s Not My Name” by Megan Lally is among new young adult titles.

Bill O’Reilly’s latest, “Confronting Evil: Assessing the Worst of the Worst” is among new non-fiction along with “The Dementia Caregiver’s Survival Guide” by Janet G. Cruz.

The Lenna Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new books “Piper’s Story” by W. Bruce Cameron, “Corinne” by Wendy Wan Long Strong and new additions to the “Last Firehawk” series by Katrina Charman. Other new titles include “Friends Are Good… for Nothing” by Brave Books, “Lone Wolf Goes to the Library” by Kiah Thomas, “I Like Hoops” by Juwanda G. Ford, and “One Small Little Voice” by Leigh-Allyn Baker.

“Christmas Tree with Lights” is the theme for Storyhour on December 9, 2025. Storyhour is held from 10 to 11 a.m. every Tuesday throughout the year for preschool-aged children. The Friends of the Library sponsor the 24/7 storyline, Dial-A-Story, call 307-334-3274 anytime to hear a recorded story!
