Call the library at 307-334-3490 to place your Krispy Kreme doughnut order! Doughnuts will be available to pick up on Wednesday, September 23 from 4-6:30 p.m. and Thursday, September 24 from 7:30-11 a.m. at the library. Glazed are $12 per dozen and assorted frosted are $13.
The Friends of the Library are pleased to announce a special visit from Ventriloquist Meghan Casey on Friday, September 25 at 1 p.m. Everyone loves Meghan and we are lucky to have her at the library this fall with a show featuring all of your favorite puppets! Children in attendance will enjoy a snack and be able to select a book for their very own as well. Plan to attend!
The second film in the Organized Crime Dinner & Movie series is “Mafia Mamma” on Monday, September 28 at 6 p.m. In “Mafia Mamma” an American mom inherits her grandfather’s mafia empire in Italy. Guided by the firm’s consigliere, she hilariously defies everyone’s expectations as the new head of the family business. “Mafia Mamma” is 97 minutes and rated R. A light meal will be available; library programs are free and open to the public.

“The Amateur” is the title of Chris Bohjalian’s latest novel. Mira Winston, a young golf prodigy, drives a golf ball through the practice net at a country club killing a caddy – a terrible accident. Then when investigators look more closely, they discover a dark and shocking tale of secret affairs and predatory men – and suddenly a teenager is on trial.

“Borgata: Clash of the Titans: a History of the American Mafia” by Louis Ferrante is among new non-fiction books.
The Lenna Lewis Slagle Children’s Library has these new chapter books “Griffin Speaker” by Jan M. Flynn, “The Undead Fox of Deadwood Forest” by Aubrey Hartman and “Wombat Waiting” by Katherine Applegate.
