Blackmore Takes Over Chevron Service Station
Clyde Blackmore has taken over the operation of the Elks Hill Service Station and changed the name to Blackmore's Service Station. The change was effective January 1.
For nearly all of the past 15 years, Mr. Blackmore has operated the Sinclair Service Station on the corner of the south junction of Highways 85 and 20 in Lusk. The new Blackmore Station is a Chevron outlet and is located on the east side of south Main Street.
Virgil, Jr. and John Horn will assist Mr. Blackmore in the new operation.
Mr. Blackmore says that during the past 15 years he has enjoyed a good business in the cramped quarters of the old station, but that the new larger station will provide more adequate room for proper servicing
Gene Patton, who formerly operated the Elk Hill Service is uncertain about his future plans.
