Jireh School is Standarized

Courtesy of The Lusk Standard, 01/14/1921

The work of standardization of the Jireh school is at last complete and its name has been added to the list of standardized schools of the state. It h ad much to do after the idea of raising the standard was first adopted, bus she has come in with colors flying. The walls have been redecorated, seats refinished, correct systems of heating and lighting installed, as well as the proper equipment added.

Mrs. Grebe, who is still acting as county superintendent, went to Jireh to assist in the ceremonies of final standardization presenting the shield, the gift of the state, as recognition of their standing. We understand that much credit is due the teachers, Miss Edna Tiffany and Mrs. Lily Brown, the clerk of the school board, Geo. Grant, and Messrs. E.E. Fullerton, C.W. Pfeiger, Chas. Gaukel and D. Powell, for their work and interest in bringing the school up to its present standard.
