The library will be closed on Tuesday, December 24 and Wednesday, December 25, 2019 for Christmas and on Wednesday, January 1, 2020 for New Year’s. Have a wonderful holiday season!

A huge thank you to all of the volunteers that have helped to make our Holiday Crafting a huge success this year. This program series, with over 25 in attendance each activity day, resulted in smiles for all of the children. Thank you to Tina and Barb for all of your hard work in organizing this extravaganza and Laura, Kristine, Leslie, Brenda, Flo, Adah and Heather for your help in assuring that there were smiles! The winter afterschool programs begin in January, watch for more information.

The library has several digital libraries available for library patrons. Check out these apps in your app store: Overdrive/Libby, Hoopla, RB Digital and Cloud Library as well as Wyoming Libraries or WyldCat for the online catalog for your mobile devices. The digital libraries are also available to use on your computer or laptop. Hoopla is available to stream with Apple TV, FireTV, Roku and Android TV; cast to your big screen by using AirPlay or Chromecast. Your library card number (29092…) and PIN will give you access to all of these as well as the databases in http://gowyld.net. To obtain a library card bring in proof of address and don’t hesitate stop by for more information.

An Oprah’s Book Club selection is “The Water Dancer” by Ta-Nehisi Coates, which is based on fact. Hiram Walker was born in bondage but gifted with a mysterious power. When he almost drowns in a river this power saved his life. This brush with death births an urgency in him and a daring scheme to escape. His journey takes him from the coffin of the deep south to dangerous idealist movements of the north, but his resolve to rescue the family he left behind endures.

Other new nonfiction books are “Warrior of the Altaii” by Robert Jordon, “What Happened in Paradise” by Elin Hilderbrand, “The Guardians” by John Grisham, “The Christmas Boutique” by Jennifer Chiaverini, “Agent Running in the Field” by John Le Carre, “What Comes My Way” by Tracie Peterson, “Noel Street” by Richard Paul Evans and “Ninth House” by Leigh Bardugo.
