Ira Gellatly Dies in Kansas

Ira Gellatly, 60, Bogue, Kans., died April 16. Funeral services were held April 19 at Hill City, Kans., with burial at Bogue. He was a nephew of Lee and Albert Penn, and Mrs. Velda Miller, all of Lusk.

His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jake Gellatly homesteaded near Hat Creek and lived there from 1916 to 1922.

Ira worked as a railroad foreman for the past 42 years.

Survivors include his widow, Voyne, of the family home; one son Larry and a daughter, Mrs. James Tomberlin, both of St. Helen, Ore.; one brother, Harold Gellatly of Hotchkiss, Colo.; and two sisters, Mrs. George Quigel of Salina, Kans.; and Mrs. Lucille Adams of Arroyo Grande, Calif.

Mrs. Miller had been in Kansas in March to visit at the home of Gellatlys, but due to illness, she and her brothers were unable to attend the services.
