Richard D. Fernau

Richard D. Fernau, 52, of Lovell died Jan. 27, 1987 at the Deaconess Medical Center in Billings, MT. after suffering a stroke. Services were Friday Jan. 30 at the Lovell United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gordon Shaffer officiating. Burial was Saturday in the Lusk Cemetery.

He was born Jan. 31, 1934 in Lusk, the son of Harry and Pauline (Porter) Fernau. He was raised and educated in Lusk, graduating from Lusk High School in 1952.

He married Connie Foley Aug. 30, 1954 in Casper.

Mr. Fernau worked for Mountain Bell for many years in various locations including Powell, Yellowstone Park, and Lovell and enjoyed hunting, golfing, fishing, camping, motorcycling and building model electric trains

Besides his widow, he is survived by one son, Donald Richard, both of Lovell; three daughters Sheila Green of Powell, Renata Wantulok of Lovell and Evette Lewis of Laramie: one brother, Harry Fernau, Jr. of Casper: one sister, Louise Niles of Makaawao, Ha.: and eight grandchildren.

The Haskell Funeral Home of Lovell is in charge of the arrangements.
