G. W. HITSHEW, WYO. PIONEER, DIES AT HOME
George W. Hitshew, aged about 78, a resident of Wyoming since 1872, died last Friday, December 30, at his home at Manville, of an attack of cerebral hemorrhage.
Mr. Hitshew was born in Iowa, and came to the state in 1872. He has been a resident of this section of the state for more than forty years, having settled at Manville shortly after the railroad was built through there in 1886, and has been a resident there since that time.
Mr. Hitshew is survived by his widow, a brother, Sherd Hitshew of Lusk, and a half-brother, J. H. HItshew of Kansas City; one sister, Emma Keithley of Manville.
He is also survived by the following children: Charlie Hitshew of Lost Springs and Oliver Hitshew of Keeline; Mrs. Retta Woody of Glendo; Mrs. Sam Joss of Manville; Mrs. Clint Dern of Lost Springs, and Hazel Hitshew.
The funeral services were held in Manville last Sunday, January 1, interment being made in the Manville cemetery. Arrangements were under supervision of the Universal Undertaking Parlors of Lusk.
