Mr. and Mrs. Hubbard journeyed to Alaska to make their home in 1927, and Mr. Hubbard was the deputy marshall at Nenana and McGrath. They then moved to Fairbanks where he became the chief of police and after leaving the police force, he operated a used furniture store until his retirement. He was a member of the Elks lodge and the Episcopal church.

Mr. Hubbard was preceded in death by two daughters, Mrs. Helen Hawthorne Giinther who was killed in an automobile accident in 1937, at Fairbanks, and Mrs. Vilna Filbey Moritz who passed away April 14, 1927, at Edgerton, Wyo.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Emma Hubbard and two sons, Percy Martin Hubbard of Seattle, Wash., and Russell Raymond Hubbard of Fairbanks, Alaska, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one son-in-law, Ernie Giinther, of Fairbanks.

The deceased was the youngest of a family of four children. He had three sisters, Lodema, Serepta and Julia, all who with his parents have preceded him in death. His sister, Julia, was the well-known Mrs. Julia Roy of Lusk, who passed away January 15th, 1954 at Denver, Colorado.
