Olive Johnson, Resident 64 Years, Dies Wed.

Mrs. Olive Johnson 82, of Lusk died last Wednesday at the Niobrara County Memorial Hospital in Lusk. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Peet Mortuary. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

The Rev. Dean Addington of St. George's Episcopal Church officiated. Mrs. J. P. Watson was organist and accompanied Dr. Richard Collins, Mrs. Don Johnson, Harry Lyon and Mrs. Bob Bramlet as they sang "Abide With Me" and "In The Garden."

Casket bearers were William Miller, Ted Lohr, George Mills, Bill Magoon, Max Bird and Robert Scott.

She was born March 22, 1887 at Oakfield, Wis., to John Henry and Julia Roy. As a young girl the family moved to Nebraska and later moved back to Wisconsin. In 1905 they moved to Wyoming. She married Alfred Johnson in Lusk October 22, 1908.

Mrs. Johnson was a faithful member of St. George's Episcopal Church; a member of the Daughter's of the American Revolution, serving as a state regent for one year; served as State Chairman of the Republican Women; a member of the American Legion Auxiliary; Wyoming Historical Society; served eight years on the Niobrara School Board and 11 years on the Library Board and was a member of St. George's Episcopal Guild.

Her parents, husband and one sister died previously.

Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Johnson and Grace Johnson; one son, Roy; a brother, Lloyd Henry Roy and one grandson, Robert Johnson, all of Lusk. Among the out-of-town relatives and friends were Mr. and Mrs. Rodney Rochelle, George Giinther and Miss Margaret Giinther, all of Casper.
