Funeral Held for Antonette Lacy Here December 12

Funeral services were held December 12 at Memorial Methodist Church for Antonette Lacy. She died December 9 at the age of 91 after living in Sioux County from 1888 to 1949.

The Rev. J. Lee Gorman officiated at the service and burial was in the Harrison Cemetery. Mrs. Gorman and Mrs. Ted King sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In the Garden." Pallbearers were Jim Bourret of Kimball, Pat Lacy, Kimball, and Clarence Snurr, Art From, Elmer Pullen and Charles Bourret of Harrison.

Mrs. Lacy was born on March 8, 1876, in what is now the country of Czechoslovakia, the daughter of Anton and Josephine Moravek.

When six months of age she came to America with her parents and lived for brief periods in Chicago, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Stanton, Nebr. In 1888 she came to the Harrison community where she grew to womanhood, married, and raised her family of eight children. In 1949 she moved to Lincoln, Nebr., where she lived until her death.

Her survivors include two sons, Melvin Lacy of Great Abaco Island, Bahama Islands, and Leo ValDez of Coquille, Ore.; three daughters, Mrs. Carl Fisher of Lincoln, Nebr., Mrs. Charles Morgan of Glenrock, Wyo. and Mrs. Verona Foulk of West Los Angles, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Floyd Jones and Miss Anna Moravek, both of Meeteetse, Wyo.; eleven grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.

Out of town people here for the Lacy funeral were: Jay Lacy, Pat Lacy, Mrs. Grace Powell, and Mr. and Mrs. James Bourret of Kimball, Nebraska; Mrs. Ida Jones of Meteetsee, Wyoming; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Morgan, Glenrock, Wyoming, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Fisher, Lincoln, Nebraska; Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Coffee, Edgemont, South Dakota.
