Funeral services for Diane Joyce Leimser, 54, were held Friday, June 2 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Marvin Temme officiating. Burial will follow in the Lusk Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jerry Fullmer, Terry Griffith, Doyle Davies, Dave Redfield, Jim Meng and Wes Schaub.

She died Tuesday, May 30 at the Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper, Wyo., after a lengthy illness.

She was born July 13, 1945, in Mitchell, S.D., to John and LuElla (Schaub) Reuer. She lived with her family in Chamberlain, S.D., and was a graduate of Chamberlain High School. Following her graduation from Black Hills State University with a degree in business education, she taught at the Niobrara County High School in Lusk from 1967 through 1974.

On June 9, 1968, she married Dave Leimser in Chamberlain, S.D. The couple made their home in Lusk where she worked in the Niobrara County School system as a substitute teacher and as a secretary from 1975 through 1998.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and LWML. At the age of 10, she began playing the organ for her home church in Chamberlain and continued to play for St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Lusk until 1998.

Music was an important part of her life. She taught piano lessons for several years and took great pleasure in her students' piano recitals.

She enjoyed following the various athletic events in which her sons were involved. She was an avid reader and liked to go boating and water skiing.

Survivors include her husband Dave of Lusk; two sons Todd Leimser of Moorcroft, Wyo., and Shawn Leimser and wife Kresta of Hutchinson, Kans.; one brother Duane Reuer and his wife Linda of Surprise, Kans.; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family suggests memorials to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, PO Box 864, Lusk, WY 82225 or the Central Wyoming Hospice, 319 South Wilson, Casper, WY 82601.

Cicmanec-Pier Funeral Home in Lusk was in charge of funeral arrangements.
