Funeral for Eddie Mark Held Friday

George (Eddie) Mark, 66, a resident of Lusk, died in the Goshen County Memorial Hospital in Torrington at 1:00 a.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be held from the Peet Chapel in Lusk at 2:00 p.m. Friday.

Mr. Mark was born in Lynch, Nebr. May 11, 1900. Survivors include a brother, Ralph and his family of Torrington and his step-father, Lorenz Heller of Torrington.

Funeral for Eddie Mark Held Friday

Funeral services for George "Eddie" Mark, 66, who died last Wednesday at the Goshen County Memorial Hospital in Torrington, were held from the Peet Chapel in Lusk, Friday at 2:00 p.m. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Custer Lodge No. 21 of the I.O.O.F. of Lusk was in charge of the services and the Rev. James Davis of the Congregational Church of Lusk officiated.

The Rev. James E. Scott, soloist, accompanied by Mrs. Merle Hahn, organist sang "Abide With Me" and "Rock of Ages."

Caskets bearers were Elmer Fleming, Paul Heany, Herbert Moody, Tom Lewis, Frank Lewis and Gilbert Bernbeck.

Mr. Mark was born May 11, 1900, in Lynch, Nebr., the son of Fred P. and Amie Emmons Mark, the oldest of four brothers.

He lived on a ranch for most of his life in the western part of Nebraska, moving to Lusk, in 1939 where he worked in seed and hardware stores. During the last years of his life, he has not been well enough to have a regular job but has worked at odd jobs.

He was married June 14, 1929, to Maude Randolph. There were no children.

Mr. Mark was a member of the First Christian Church of Torrington (Disciples of Christ), and the I.O.O.F. Lodge of Lusk.

He is survived by his widow, Maude, a brother Ralph of Torrington, and numerous other relatives.
