Services and burial for Clara Jane Bailey, age 102, will be later this week in Logan, Kansas.
Clara was born July 2, 1896, the daughter of Garret and Emma Post at Logan, Kansas. She died Saturday, December 19 at the Niobrara County Nursing Home in Lusk.
Mrs. Bailey was a member of the First Christian Church. Also she was a homemaker, enjoyed gardening, crocheting and visiting with friends. She entered the Niobrara County Nursing Home in September of 1989. Prior to that time, she was a resident of the Ponderosa Nursing Home in Crawford, Nebraska for four years.
Survivors include one sister, Grace Stuchlik of Silverton, Oregon; one son-in-law, Chuck Martin of Lusk plus numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, A. C. Bailey, one daughter, Pauline Martin, four brothers and three sisters.
For those who wish, memorials to the Niobrara County Nursing Home will be appreciated by the family.
