Leonard C. Fulk

Graveside services for Leonard C. Fulk, 72, were June 19, 1998 at the Lusk Cemetery with Mark Lohr officiating.

A gathering of family and friends was Friday from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at Bader Funeral Home. Mr. Fulk was born Dec. 24, 1925 in Platte County, Wyoming, north of Wheatland to LeRoy and Anna (Elder) Fulk. He attended school in the Wheatland area. He served in the United States Army Engineer and Infantry for eight years. He was in the European Theater during World War II, in Japan during the occupation, in Korea during the Korea War, at Fort Lewis, Washington and at Camp Smith, Texas. He married Helen Moore on Aug. 27, 1957 at Riverton. He worked in the oil fields around Riverton until 1964 when they moved to Lusk. He owned and operated Len's Wheel Alignment with his wife for 10 years. He later worked for Kuhn Equipment and Wasson Chevrolet. In 1981, he and his wife opened L and H Saw Shop.

He was a member of the American Legion, the VFW and the Elks Lodge of Riverton. He served on the Niobrara Draft Board and the Lusk Zoning Board.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and one sister.

Survivors include his wife of the family home; brother Edward of Lusk; sisters Sarah Mass of Valaho, Calif., Mildred Schuppan of Scottsbluff, Nebr., Irene Schwabauer and husband Gene of Gering, Nebr.; Darlene Kenzy; and nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are to the family or the Senior Center. Bader Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
