Jake Robinson dead at 89

The funeral for Charles (Jake) Robinson was Monday at the Peet Mortuary, Lusk. Jake died Nov. 10, 1997 at Greybull. He was 89.

Jake was born March 30, 1888 in Palmer, Neb., the son of Charles Henry and Theresa Marie Scarborough Robinson. Jake homesteaded in 1911 in the Flattop area where he made his home until 1947 when he moved to Cody.

He retired in 1968 and moved to Greybull in 1973.

He served in the U.S. Army from August 1918 to February 1919. Jake was also a member of the Open Bible Church.

His wife Nora, Greybull, one son Charles and his daughter-in-law survive. Two grandsons and five great-grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers and sisters; Theresa, Lucy, James, Mary Ann, Thomas, Anna, Ethel, Vernard and Veronica.

The Rev. Frank Bozart presided at the funeral and Mrs. Watson was the organist. Mark Lohr sang "How Great Thou Art" and "Beyond The Sunset."

Pallbearers were Wayne Tollman, Marvin Hammer, Malcomb Hammer, Gordon Berg, Elmer Johnson and Edward Hughes. Memorials may be sent to the nursing home. Burial was at the Lusk Cemetery.
