Mrs. Schley Dies in Lusk Sunday; Services Are Tues.

Mrs. Josephine M. Schley, 79, died Sunday morning at the Niobrara Memorial Hospital from a cerebral hemorrhage. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. from the Peet Chapel with Rev. Otha B. Holcomb, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was made in the Lusk Cemetery.

Mrs. A.F. DeCastro and Mrs. Emmerson Bonner sang "Have Thine Own Way Lord" and "Beyond The Sunset." Mrs. J. P. Watson was organist. Casket bearers were Floyd McLain, Roy McLain, Menno Kaan, Roger Cowell, .C.E. Marvin, and Clyde Blackmore.

Josephine Minerva Schley was born July 9, 1877 at Unionville, Ia., coming to Lusk in 1913 and marrying Julius F. Schley in 1914. The couple lived in the Royal Valley Community until 1945 moving then to Lusk to reside. Mr. Schley died April 1, 1956, and their only child died at the age of 16.

Survivors include three brothers, W.G. Swaim, Webb, Ia.; Frank Swaim, Moravia, Ia.,; Austin Swaim, Ottumwa, Ia.; and four sisters, Mrs. John Tadlock, Moravia, Ia.; Mrs. M.D. Shepard, Lusk; Mrs. Len Ogden, Sedro Wolley, Wash.; and Mrs. U.C. Main, Moravia, Ia.
