Former W.P. Teacher Siegle Dies
Ida Catherine Siegle died at her home in Ely on Friday of a sudden heart attack.
She was born in Manville, Wyo. to W.S. and Katie Sothman Hitshew. She attended grade and high school in Lusk, Wyo., and was a graduate of the University of Wyoming.
Mrs.Siegle moved to Ely in 1917 and was a retired elementary school teacher. She taught for many years in the White Pine County School District. She was a member of the PEO sisterhood of Ely.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Vern Siegle.
Survivors include her sisters, Elva Costin of Sun City, Ariz. Julian Saul of Douglas,Wyo. and Stella Bacheller of Casper,Wyo.
Private graveside services will be held Wednesday at the Ely City Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Cluff of the United Methodist Church of Ely officiating.
