Mrs. Spacht, 82, Dies Here Thurs.

Mrs. Sadie I. Spacht, 82, Niobrara resident since 1918 died in the Niobrara Memorial Hospital last Thursday. She had been ill for the past several years.

Funeral services were held from the Peet Chapel in Lusk Saturday afternoon with the Rev. James E. Davis of the First Congregational Church of Lusk officiating. Mrs. Samuel M. Thomas and Miss Margaretta Smylie sang, "I Surrender All" and "Softly Now The Light of Day" and were accompanied by organist Mrs. Gerald Bardo. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Mrs. Spacht was born July 25, 1885 in Juneau, Wis. As a child, moved with her family to a homestead north of Hemingford, Nebr. where she grew up. She taught in the schools of Box Butte County, Nebr.

She and Carl William Spacht were married July 17, 1916. They were the parents of two daughters, Jean and Muriel.

She and her late husband moved to Keeline in 1918 where Mr. Spacht operated the Bank of Keeline until 1924. He then worked for the Wyoming and Nebraska state banking departments until 1935, when the family moved to Lusk.

Mrs. Spacht has lived at the Paradise Valley Convalescent Home in Casper the last two winters. She came home in May and after a short stay in her home, she was admitted to the Niobrara Memorial Hospital until her death.

Her husband died in May 1960 and daughter, Jean Platts in 1944.

Survivors include her daughter, Muriel Dalgarno, Lusk; one sister, Mrs. Lou Fletcher, South Sioux City, Nebr., one brother, Ralph Hopkins, Alliance; and many nieces and nephews.

Out-of-town relatives and friends attending the service included Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Schramek, Mrs. Lou Neeland, Hemingford; Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Hopkins, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hopkins, Mrs. Edna J. Gott, Mrs. Dorothy Graham, Alliance; Mrs. Harry Bartlett, Mrs. Eleanor Bartlett, Mrs. Beverly Kreglo, Chadron; Mrs. John R. Spacht, Mrs. Roland Throssell, Billings, and Miss Grace Spacht, Portland, Ore.
