Annette Spaugh, Daughter of Pioneer Residents, Dies

Miss Annette Spaugh, 56, former Manville resident, died at her home in North Hollywood, Calif., November 17.

Funeral services were held from the Peet Chapel Monday with the Rev. Frank Bozart officiating. Burial was in the Manville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Harold Gautschi, Orval Dryer, A. F. DeCastro, Everette Brooks, Beryl Fullerton, and C. E. Marvin.

Mrs. A. F. DeCastro was the organist, Mrs. Emerson Bonner and Mrs. Lyle Eddy sang "Rock of Ages" and "In The Garden."

Annette Spaugh was born in Spokane, Wash., October 15, 1908 the daughter of William and Alice Spaugh. The family lived in the Manville community for many years where Mr. Spaugh was a pioneer in the oil industry. Miss Spaugh attended school in Manville. Later the family located in North Hollywood which is still their home.

Due to the infirmities of their advancing age, her parents were unable to make the trip to attend services. Dr. Leroy Y. Lee, a friend and business associate of the Spaugh family, made the trip and attended the services.
