Clarence Marion West

Services for Clarence M. West, 72, were held Friday, February 19, 1988 at Peet Mortuary Chapel in Lusk. Rev. Frank Bozart officiated. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery. He died February 16, 1988 at the VA Medical Center in Denver, CO.

He was born February 5, 1916 to Victor Clarence and Elsie Belle Turner West. He attended schools in the Van Tassell area and lived his entire life in the area except for the time he served in the US Army from August of 1941 to November of 1945 during World War II. He was engaged in farming and ranching and was also a rural mail carrier in the Van Tassell area for nearly forty years.

Survivors include two sisters, Leota Solick of Lincoln, NE and Ruby Brott of Crawford, NE; one brother Frank West of Crawford; two sister-in-laws, Gertrude West of Harrison, NE and Dorothy West of Crawford; twelve nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Memorials to the American Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.

Peet Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
