Elise Germann

Mrs. Gottfried Germann, 75, Claimed Sunday at Local Hospital; Final Rites Conducted Here Tuesday Afternoon

Death claimed Mrs. Gottfried Germann at 4:30 o'clock Sunday morning, ending many years of patient suffering with a heart ailment. Mrs. Germann had entered the Lusk hospital Sunday, January 26th, and on the following Tuesday suffered a stroke ending with a cerebral hemorrhage.

Concluding rites were held at three o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the chapel of the Peet funeral home with Rev. Mann G. Flint paying final tribute. During the service, Mrs. Ruby Crittendon and Mrs. Eileen Boltie impressively sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "No Night There". Mrs. J. P. Watson accompanied them at the chapel organ.

Interment was held in the Lusk cemetery with Wm. Brunckhorst, Gus Deitchler, Ed Marks, C.E. Marvin, Arthur Grimes and Ira Teter bearing the remains to their last resting place.

Elise Klopfer was born June 27th, 1871, at Frutegen, Switzerland, the daughter of Gean and Marie Klopfer, and departed from this life February 2nd, 1947, at the age of 75 years, 7 months and 6 days.

In 1908, she was united in marriage to Gottfried Germann and in 1910 the young couple immigrated to this country. For a short time they resided in Illinois, and in 1911 they came to Wyoming settling on a ranch northeast of Lusk, where they had made their home until last spring when Mr. Germann retired from active operation of the ranch, and they moved to this city.

Besides her husband, Gottfried, the deceased is survived by two children, a daughter, Mrs. Albert Fietz, and a son, Pete Germann, both of Lusk; three sisters, Miss Bertha Klopfer and Miss Aline Klopfer both of Node; and Mrs. Marie Cartier, who resides in Switzerland; two brothers, Fred Klopfer of Node; and Henry Klopfer, of Paradise, Calif.; three granddaughters, Alberta, Janice and Edith May Fietz, of Lusk, and an infant grandson, Clark Grant Germann, also of Lusk.
