Albion Lind, 50 Year Resident Here Dies in Rochester

Albion L. Lind, Niobrara County resident for over 50 years, died at Rochester, Minn. Sunday evening at 5:00 o'clock from a bronchial condition for which he had gone to the Mayo Clinic for treatment.
He left here with his sisters, Mrs. Roy Turnbull and Mrs. Ed Schroefel, and Mrs. Olive Stewart, on January 18, but the train trip to Mayo's was delayed and in his condition he was unable to recuperate.
Funeral services are being held at the Peet Chapel Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock, with Rev. Lawrence Juell in charge. Masonic services will be conducted by Harmony Lodge No. 24, of which Mr. Lind is an old-time member.
A past county commissioner, Mr. Lind had been active in many community enterprises and in Democratic party circles. He had been a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge as well as the Masonic order.
Albion Lind was born at Altoona, Ill., May 6, 1883, the son of Lewis and Helen Lind, who came to Wyoming in 1889 to homestead eight and a half miles northeast of Lusk. Mr. Lind later took over this ranch, making his home there since.
Surviving are his sisters, Anna Turnbull and Esther Schroefel, and two nephews, Warren Schroefel of Cody and Perry Turnbull of Lusk.

Last Rites Held For Albion Lind
Funeral services for Albion L. Lind, 67, who died at Rochester, Minn., January 29, were held from the Peet chapel in Lusk on Thursday afternoon, February 2, with interment following in the Lusk cemetery. Friends paying final tribute to him crowded the chapel to capacity.
Rev. Lawrence P. Juell of the Congregational Church presided at the religious rites, with Masonic committal services being performed at the grave by Harmony Masonic Lodge, C.E. Marvin officiating. Mr. Lind was a longtime active member of the Masonic fraternity.
Pallbearers were J. Earl Murphy, Arthur Thompson, Ralph Larson, Ralph I. Olinger, H.L. Joiner and Carl Bruch. Music for the services was by a male quartet composed of Rex Yocum, Don Housh and Dale and Gerald Bardo.
