Olive Hathaway died April 6

The funeral for Olive May Hathaway, 89, was Sunday in Torrington. Mrs. Hathaway died April 6 in Scottsbluff.

She was born Jan. 2, 1889 in Monona City, Iowa, the daughter of Lawson and Ellen DeVault Harris. She was educated in Iowa schools. She moved with her husband to a homestead on the Cheyenne River south of Newcastle in 1912.

After living on the homestead for 48 years she moved to Newcastle in 1960, and lived there seven years. Since 1968 she lived with her son in Torrington.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles who died in 1940.

Survivors include two sons, Charles and Cloyd, both of Torrington; two daughters, Ila Stutesrnan of Torrington and Ellen Buhike of Tucson. Ariz.; seven grandchildren, 10 greatgrandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren also survive.

Interment was is the Lusk Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Sunday School Program of Berean Fundamental Church in Torrington.
