Martha Caroline Hall
Death Claims Sister of F. 0. Knittle
Word was received by Frank 0. Knittle that his sister, Mrs. A. T. Hall, had died of a heart attack at her home in Los Angeles, Calif., on New Year's Eve.
Martha Knittle was born at Sergeant, Neb., in 1885, and moved to Lusk with her family while a small child. She grew to young womanhood here and attended the Lusk school. For some time she served as clerk in the Lusk postoffice when the late D.E. Goddard was postmaster.
She was married here to Alfred I. Hall, son of Dr. Hall, pioneer physician of Lusk. They are the parents of three sons and one daughter, who passed away some fifteen years ago. Mr. Hall died at their home in California three years ago. After their marriage they lived in Lusk for a number of years and then moved to Casper, where they resided for some time before going to California, where they have lived for many years.
Among the survivors beside her brother, Frank 0. Knittle of Lusk, is a brother, Gus; whose address is unknown and three sisters in California -- Mazy Troleson, Emma Gaines and Edith, who will be remembered here by the name of Milburn.
Mrs. Hall visited her brother and family here two years ago and was a member of the Niobrara County Pioneer Association.
Death came to her peacefully in her sleep.
