Death Takes Mrs. Geo. Mundschenk

Death came to Mrs. George Mundschenk, 50, of Manvllle, at the Spencer Hospital in Lusk, on Sunday, April 23, following an extended illness.

Mrs. Mundschenk had been a resident of the Keeline and Manville communities for the past 23 years. Mr. Mundschenk is the postmaster at Manville at the present time.

Anna Clara Mundschenk, nee Smith, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Smith, was born at David City, Nebraska, March 28, 1900. When two years of age she moved with her parents to Albion, Neb., where she lived until 1927, when, on May 18 of that year, she was married to George Mundschenk and moved to Wyoming.

As a young girl she joined the Baptist Church at Albion, Neb., and remained a member there throughout her life. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Keeline and a Royal Neighbor of Camp No. 3264 of Manville.

She is survived by her husband, George J. Mundschenk, and their two sons, James L. and Harold R., all of Manville, also two sons and a daughter by a former marriage, Dwain L. Lull of Manville and Carrol Lull of Douglas; and Mrs. Alyce Mott of Port Hueneme, California. Also by her husband's first marriage are two sons and one daughter, Clarence G. of Pine Bluffs, Wyo., and Paul D. of Torrington, Wyo., and Mrs. Wilma Jones of Pasadena, Calif.

Five grandchildren also survive and her father, John C. Smith of Lamar, Mo.; three brothers, Sidney K. of Primrose, Neb., Guy A. of New Brighton, Pa.; Leo G. of Omaha, Neb., and four sisters, Mrs. Laurel Van Brummell of Lamar, Colo.; Mrs. Jessie Smith of Sundance, Wyo.; Mrs. Ethel Thomas of Venta, Ore., and Mrs. Sarah Anderson, Gerber, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her mother, one son, Robert L. Mundschenk, who gave his life in World War II, and also by one sister and one brother.

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, April 25, from the Peet Chapel by Rev. Clyde E. Hampton. The songs, "In the Garden," and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," were sung by Mr. and Mrs. Beryl Fullerton and Mrs. Geraldine Alexander, with Mrs. O.M. Rasmusen as the accompanist on the chapel organ.

The casket bearers were Nels Mariegard, O.M. Rasmusen, Ralph McCormick, Henry Amend, Roy Elkins and Ed Brown.

Interment was made in the Lusk cemetery.
