Mrs. Sherman Funeral Held Here Thursday

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary L. Sherman, 79, of Lusk who died March 30 at the Niobrara County Memorial Hospital, were held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. from Peet Chapel with Dallas Swisher officiating. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Mrs. Hobart Cockreham and E. E Davenport sang "Nearer My God to Thee" and "The Old Rugged Cross." Mrs. J. P. Watson was organist. Pa1lbearers were Del Sylvester, Eddie Mark, Herb Segal, Phil Werner, Floyd Simon and William Ainslie.

Mary Louella Cass Sherman was born June 17, 1879 in Steam Boat Rock, Ia. Rock, Ia. She lived there until eight years of age at which time she moved with her parents to Cody, Nebr.

She and Henry Sherman were married in March 1895, moving to Lusk in 1928. They were the parents of ten children. Mr. Sherman and five children previously died.

Surviving are five children; Clifford Sherman and Mrs. Melva Hutchison, Valentine, Nebr., Harold Sherman, Norden, Nebr., Mrs. Reva Anderson and Delois Sherman of Lusk; one sister, Mrs. Dell Crane of Lusk; a brother, James Cass of Lusk; 29 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren.
