Henry Valentine Pfister

Graveside services for Henry Valentine Pfister, 82, were held July 11, 1988 in the Lusk Cemetery. He died July 7 at Niobrara County Memorial Hospital.

He was born March 22, 1906, in Lusk, the son of Richard and Mary Pfister.

Hank, as he was called by his friends, worked many years ranching in the Lusk area. He worked at the Hartville-Sunrise mines during the 1940's. He also worked at the Foster Lumber yard until his retirement.

In his spare time he enjoyed tinkering around with mechanical things. He was an animal lover and was always ready with an open heart to take in any stray animal.

He was preceded in death by his wife, one brother, one sister and his parents.

Survivors include one sister Eva Farrington of Torrington; three sons, Dick Pfister of Lusk, Bob Pfister of Denver, and Don Pfister of Oregon; 5 step-daughters, Betty Werner of Oregon, Vonnie Garcia of Lusk, Connie Fitzwater of Lusk, Polly Heckman of Glenrock and Bonnie Neely of Casper; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends,

For those who wish, memorials to the Niobrara County Memorial Hospital would be appreciated by the family.

CORRECTION

An obituary that appeared in the July 13, 1988 edition of The Lusk Herald for Henry "Hank" Valentine Pfister omitted the name of is wife, Charolett Pfister, from the list of survivors.

Information provided to the Herald did not include Mrs. Pfister's name.
