This town received a severe shock Monday morning when the news of the death of P.R. Davin reached here as it was quite unexpected. He had his leg broken while branding colts on June the 11th and was getting along quite well and his sudden death was due to heart failure. Peter R. Davin was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Nov. the 11th, 1864. When an infant his parents moved to Junction City, Kansas, where he resided until the age of 22 years, when he came to Wyoming remaining here until the time of his death, which was July 26, 1909. At the age of 20 years he united with the Catholic church and never joined any other denomination. He was married to Miss Mary Pinkerton in 1890 and there were born two daughters, Mary Elizabeth, aged 18, and Frances Alice, aged 16, who with his wife all survive him. He also leaves his mother, Mrs. Mary Davin, of Junction City, Kansas, eight brothers and six sisters, all residing near Junction City. He was a man of sterling qualities, liked and respected by all who knew him. The funeral took place at the house Tuesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. The family and relatives have the sympathy of the entire community.
