Samuel Walker Covington was born March 3, 1848 in Burnet County, Texas; the first child of William Bryson Covington and Simruda Catherine Holland. He was married March 19, 1871 in Texas to Phoebe Caroline (Carrie) Nations, born March 13, 1842. Samuel Walker Covington died March 17, 1924 and is buried at Guernsey, Wyoming. They had four children: Elizabeth Unity Covington (Dec 20, 1872-Jan 11, 1894), Lilly Kate Covington (Dec 23, 1874-Jan 20,1883), Samuel Walker Covington, Jr.(Oct 12, 1876-July 22,1959), & Ella Margaret Covington-Webb.
