Tommy Lee Jordan passed away on Thursday, May 28th, 2015 in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born November 11, 1948 to John Cornelius Jordan (Connie) and Evelyn (Hoyt) Jordan at Crawford Nebraska. He was raised on the family ranch near Harrison, Nebraska. He graduated from Sioux County High School in Harrison, Nebraska in 1966.

In 1967, Tom moved to California where he worked for his Uncle Jimmy Jordan. He became his assistant trainer for the California Thoroughbreds racing circuits. He later became a valet and was responsible for saddling a horse before the race and taking care of the jockey's tack. After retiring from the California Racing Circuit, Tom traveled to a variety of state's tracks, as an assistant trainer or exercise rider. At the racetrack, he was known as T.J.

Tom is survived by his sister Darby Jordan (San Mateo, CA), brothers Mike Jordan (Harrison, NE) and Doug Jordan and his wife Susie (Eaton, CO.), numerous nieces and nephews as well as many other family members and friends.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, paternal grandparents Neil and Elizabeth (Henry) Jordan, maternal grandparents, Frank and Mary Gertrude (Parks) Hoyt and his brother John

Memorials may be sent to Horsemen's Benevolent and Protective Association in California or Arizona, in memory of Tommy Lee Jordan.

Rosary, 6 p.m. - June 25, 2015. Services, 11 a.m. - June 26, 2015. Burial Service St. Mary's Cemetery

Services will be held in Harrison, NE at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. Refreshments will be served at the V.F.W. following the funeral service.

Cremation has taken place, so no visitation will take place.
