Laura Mae Roediger Coe

Funeral services for Laura Mae Roediger Coe, 62, will be held today, Feb. 10, 1993, at 10:30 a.m. at the Glendo High School in Glendo, Wyo., with Rev. Merrill Lanker of the Congregational United Church of Christ in Douglas officiating. Interment will be in the Horseshoe Cemetery located southwest of Glendo.

Coe died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1993, at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper following a long illness.

She was born Oct. 17, 1930, at the Hershberger family home outside of Glendo. She was a lifelong resident of the Glendo community. She was educated in Glendo, graduating from the Glendo High School in 1948. On Nov. 27, 1948, she married Christian Robert Roediger in Casper. they were married for 29 years. After several years on the Roediger homestead, they moved to Glendo briefly and then to thier home and ranch east of Glendo. Mr. Roediger died Oct. 1, 1978. She was married for a short time to Ronald Coe of Glendo. She was a long term member of the Glendo Emergency Medical Technicians and served as their president for some time. She worked at the Glendo School since 1971, first as a teacher's aide and bus driver, then for most of her career as the secretary. She also maintained the Bob Roediger Ranch. She enjoyed oil painting occasionally and always enjoyed visits from her family and friends.

She is survived by her good friend, Jack Smith of Glendo; three children, Jessa Roediger, Kelly Roediger and Julie Russell all of Douglas; her grandchildren, Renee, Rebecca, Gene, Sarah and Sawyer; her step-grandchildren; Craig and Jacie; five brothers, Perry, Bill, Jack, Gene and Ken Hershberger; four sisters-in-law, Freda Robinson, Edna Langston, Margaret Meyer and Elizabeth Carson; and many other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, infant son, Keith Edward Roediger in 1951, her parents, Julia (Smith) Hershberger Utz and Harold H. Hershberger; four brothers Ernest, Carroll, Harry and Eugene Keith Herberger; and one sister-in-law, Ruth Speyer.

Serving as pallbearers will be John Daly, Ray King, Neil Damrow, Larry Cundall, Jamie McCormick and Jim Loomer.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Boyd Leonard, Orman Milikin, Ed Hathaway and all of her many other friends.

A memorial to the Glendo EMTs or the Glendo Community Church would be appreciated by the family.

The Converse Funeral Chapel of Douglas is in charge of the arrangements.
