Izetta Chloe Barr, 93, of Jay Em, Wyo. passed away on May 29, 2016 in Cheyenne, Wyo. at Davis Memorial Hospice.

Per Izetta's wishes, there will be no funeral service. Her ashes will be buried alongside her husband, Loren "Bing" Barr at the Lusk cemetery. A "Celebration of Life" memorial will be held in Jay Em Church at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Jay Em Church. Cards may be sent to P.O. Box 1, Jay Em, Wyo. 82219

Izetta Chloe Barr, 93, of Jay Em, WY, passed on May 29, 2016 in Cheyenne, WY at Davis Memorial Hospice.

Izetta was born in Torrington, WY on July 19, 1922. Her parents Charlie and Gertrude Milnes of Fort Laramie in the community of Red Cloud. She had 12 siblings, all deceased, 2 sisters in infancy from Whooping Cough. The remaining and their spouses were as follows, Brothers: 1)Buck (Joanne) Milnes of Guernsey, WY; Ed (Gladis) Milnes of California; Jack (Margaret) Milnes of California; Olie (Violet) Milnes of Nevada. 2)Sisters: Irene (Jack) Oliver of Fort Laramie, Mildred (Raymond) Green of Guernsey; Loretta (Joe Jones of Lusk, WY; Billy (Don) Marlett of Riverton, WY; LaVon (Lew) Kendall of Oregon; Ruthy (Earl) Davis of Guernsey, WY.

Izetta graduated from the University of WY with a degree in Education. Her teaching career took her to Wyoming including Red cloud, Kapus, Cokeville, Douglas, and Jay Em. She met Loren "Bing" Willard Barr prior to World War II and became engaged, but elected not to get married until after the war. They married on September 1, 1945 immediately after Loren returned to the states. Bucky and Nila Barnette served as their witnesses.

The couple lived in Douglas for 1 1/2 years where Izetta taught 5th grade and Loren worked at a filling station.

In 1947 they moved to their newly purchased Jay Em Ranch. Loren "Bing" died on September 9, 1981. Izetta continued to live on the Ranch until dementia got the best of her in 2014. She has lived a beautiful, inspiring and full life.

Izetta loved church, kids, 4-H, friends and family. She was part of three families who started the Jay Em Community Church in 1954.

Izetta is survived by her daughter Peggy Ann Fitzwater of Lusk, WY; and son Robert C. (Barbara) Barr of Pueblo, CO. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren; Kimberly Johnson of Lusk, Kristie (Pete) Dikeman of CA, Travis (Kate) Fitzwater of SD, Shawna (Ben) Magtutu of CO, Heather (Jeff) Blum of MO, Tiffany (Matt) Ashby of CO, and Justin Barr of CO. She is also survived by 15 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Per Izetta's wishes, there will be no funeral services. Her ashes will be buried alongside Loren "Bing" at Lusk Cemetery. a "Celebration of Life" Memorial will be held at Jay Em Church at a later date this summer.
