Kenneth Walter Canfield
Kenneth Walter Canfield was born on October 4, 1948 in Lusk to Charles and Elaine Canfield. Kenny went to meet his Lord on Aug. 28, 2018, at Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne, after his courageous battle with cancer.
There will be a viewing on September 6, 2018 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Colyer Funeral Home, 2935 Main St., in Torrington. The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, 2018, at the Congregational Church, 120 E. 5th St., in Lusk, with Pastor Mark Lohr officiating. Burial will be in the Lusk Cemetery.
Kenny was raised on the Canfield Ranch. He attended school at Prairie Center and Lusk High School. Kenny moved to Lusk with his mother in the middle 1970’s. He delivered the Casper-Star Tribune paper, mowed lawns and removed snow for Lusk patrons for many years. Kenny was always ready to lend a helping hand whenever he was needed.
Survivors include sister Dorothy Vollmer, Lee Mathews from Torrington, and good friend Ben Barta from Lusk. Also, 12 nieces/nephews, 21 grand nieces/nephews, and 18 great-great nieces/nephews.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Elaine Canfield, sister Charolette Baars, brothers Duane and LeRoy, one nephew and one grandniece.
