Death Claims Mrs. W.S. Tyrrel, Thurs.

Death came to Mrs. W.S. Tyrrel at her home south of Lusk on Thursday, April 22, after several months of suffering.

Mr. and Mrs. Tyrrel have been residents of this community for the past 28 years and Mrs. Tyrrel will long be remembered and loved by her neighbors of the Royal Valley community where she was an active worker in their midst for the betterment of rural living.

Becoming ill several months ago, Mrs. Tyrrel was taken to a Denver Hospital where it was found she was suffering from cancer recovery. Later she was taken to the home of her son and family in Torrington, but her wish to return to her own home was granted and she spent the last few weeks of her life in the home which was dear to her.

Josephine Wehenkel was the daughter of Henry and Alice Wehenkel and was born at Madison, Neb. May 17, 1888.

On April 29, 1914 she was married to Walter S. Tyrrel at Columbus, Neb. and they are the parents of one son, Eugene.

After their marriage they made their first home at Woodlake , Neb. where they resided until 1920 when they came to Wyoming and located on a ranch 16 miles south of Lusk In Goshen County.

Surviving Mrs. Tyrrel are her husband, her son, Eugene, and three grandchildren, her mother, Mrs. Alice Wehenkel, six sisters and three brothers, 25 nieces and nephews and 24 grand nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted from the Peet Chapel on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 with the Rev. Robert McCaslin, Presbyterian minister if Torrington, officiating.

A quartet composed of Mrs. H.J Templeton, Mrs. A.B. DeCastro, George Gibson and Lafe Culver sang "In the Garden," "No Night There," and "Beautiful Garden of Prayer," accompannied by Mrs. J.P. Watson.

The honorary bearers were O.P. Harnagel, T.L. Cantwell, Archie Sparks, E.O. Kint, C.L. Pugsley and F.O. Canaday.

The active casket bearers were Roger Cowell, Boynton Alter, Floyd Simon, Roy McLain, John Peterson and Stanley Hoy.

Interment was made in the Lusk Cemetery.
