Mrs. P.A. Flick Succumbs Suddenly Wednesday A.M.

Funeral Services Will Be Held At Congregational Church Friday at 3:30 P.M.

Mrs. P.A. Flick, well known and popular resident of the ranching country north of Lusk, died very suddenly at the Lusk Hospital at 11 o'clock Wednesday morning, following a surgical operation performed the day previous, and her death came as a distinct shock to a host of friends in Lusk and surrounding territory.

Although 70 years old, Mrs. Flick was apparently in the best of health and no one, not even herself, suspected that death was imminent. As usual, she spent Saturday afternoon visiting in Lusk, shopping and visiting with friends. The first of the week she was taken ill and was brought to the Lusk Hospital, where an examination showed she was in a serious condition, As a last resort, surgery was resorted to, and it was discovered that she was suffering from cancer in its advanced stages, and was beyond medical aid.

Everything was done to ease her suffering and to prolong her life, but she passed aw away Wednesday morning.

Funeral services will be held at the Congregational Church Friday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock with Rev. Jenkins officiating. Interment will be made in the Lusk Cemetery, arrangements being in charge of the Peet Mortuary.

Augusta Margaret Flick (nee Miller) was born March 22, 1867, at Blue Island Ill., and was one of a family of nine children. On September 2,1889, she was married to Philip A Flick, at St. Joseph, Michigan. To this union three children were born, two of whom survive--H. V. Flick of Chicago, and Chester V. Flick of Lusk; also one grandson, H.P. Flick of Chicago.

Two sisters, one of Chicago and another of Springfield, Minn., and a brother of Blue Island, Ill., also survive.

With her husband and son, Mrs. Flick came to Lusk in 1915 from Chicago, and she has been a resident here. She was universally popular with a large circle of friends, and her death will be genuinely mourned by hundreds of people of this community.
