Lawrence "Larry/Pud" W. Ferris

Memorial services for LAWRENCE (LARRY/PUD) W. FERRIS, will be held at 10am Monday, August 16, 2021 at Lifeway Church with Pastor Dick Young officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Valley View Cemetery. Larry died August 10, 2021 at Community Hospital. Memorials may be made to the family. Larry was born September 7, 1940 in Lusk, Wyoming the son of Arthur Preston and Gladys May (Walts) Ferris. He was one of eight children. He went to school in Manville, Wyoming through Junior High and then to high school in Lusk. He worked at Elks Hill Service and Black Moore Service. He married Barbara Patton on May 29, 1960. Larry joined the US Army in 1959 and was honorably discharged in 1962. He then worked for Petrolane, Knisley Moore and Lamb Construction. He moved to Torrington, Wyoming in 1966 and went to work for Al Warren Homes. He serviced, moved and set up mobile and modular homes. In 1985 he purchased the repair part of Warren Homes and went into business for himself. Larry Paules purchased half of the shop for his electrical business. The two also started an RV business together. Larry retired at age seventy-seven.

Larry served as a trustee, and head usher at Bethel Baptist Church. He was an active member of the American Legion Travis Snow Post #5 where he was a past commander and a member of the Last Platoon.

Larry is survived by his wife Barbara; daughter Tina Jepson; family member Stan Jepson; grandchildren Nichole (Nikki) and Brandon Rost and Robbie Vore (Tylar Osterman); great grandchildren Blakeleigh, Macie, Darci, Zayla, Zeke and soon to be born Peanut; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters; and four brothers.
