Dorothy Ileane Snell

Dorothy Ileane Snell, 95, of Glenrock passed away peacefully at the hospital in Jackson on January 31, 2022. Dorothy was born in Stuart, Nebraska May 15, 1926. She moved to Idaho with her parents Fred and Pearl Harrington before moving to Lance Creek in 1937. She graduated from the eighth grade at Manville High school in 1940. Dorothy married George A. Miller in Harrison, Nebraska and they had three children, Dixie Lee Miller, Raymond George Miller, and Robert James Miller. She worked for many years as a teacher’s aide in Shawnee in a one room schoolhouse.

George Miller passed away in 1953 and Dorothy then got remarried to Gilbert Snell in 1957. They adopted Ronnie Lee Harrington when he was twelve, and he took his name as Ronnie Lee Snell.

Dorothy enjoyed painting oil pictures, crocheting many a blanket, and having her friends and family around her.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Dixie Lee Bredthauer, her son, Robert James Miller, her nine grandchildren, Darwin, Troy, and Teresa Bredthauer, Shane, Shawn, and Bryan Miller, Evony Charest, Melanie Dawson, Brandy Sanborn, and her 14 great-grandchildren, Saria, Malak, Jarak, Donovan, Rylee, Colton, Nathan, Jack, Seaerra, Anthony, Ashton, Alec, Brynne, and Brooke.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, siblings Darrell, Mickey, Ed, Jim, Leo, and Freddy, her first husband George Miller, second husband Gilbert Snell, and her sons, Raymond Miller and Ronnie Snell.

Private services will be held at Pier funeral home in Lusk.
