Louella Doris DeGroot

Louella Doris DeGroot was born July 21, 1920 in Emmons County, N. Dak., the youngest daughter of Clarence and Madeline Myers. She died Jan 21, 1964 at Casper.

She spent her early life on the family ranch in Emmons County, before moving to Belle Fourche, S. Dak. where she attended school. After attending beauty school in Casper, she owned and operated beauty shops in Lusk, Cody and Riverton.

In 1973 when she retired, she made her home in Wolcott. There she was employed part time as a casher in a restaurant. In 1982, she moved to San Jacinto, Calif. and last fall moved to Casper.

On October 18, 1958 she married Everett DeGroot at Lusk. They were the parents of one daughter, Crystal Lea.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Crystal and Kelly Gaston; two granddaughters, Amber and Jennifer; one grandson, Bryon, all of Rawlins; two sisters, Bertha Barrett and Stella Ramsey, both of San Jacinto, Calif. and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services were held at Peet Mortuary Chapel in Lusk, Jan. 26, with the Rev. Roy Howell officiating.

Music was provided by Minerva Watson, organist and Mark Lohr, soloist, who sang "How Great Thou Art" and "In the Garden."

Interment was in Lusk Cemetery.

Active bearers were Johnny Thon, Robert Templeton, George Dixon, James Shillenn, Mark Sturman and Kent Sturman.

Memorials may be made to the Heart Fund.

Arrangements were by Peet Mortuary.
